Chatora Shooter - Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Chatora Shooter ("the game") is published by Pravastu ("we"). This policy explains what information is handled when you play.

What the game itself collects

The game has no accounts of its own, and it never asks for your name, email or contacts. Your progress is stored on your device, for example: the stage you have reached, your best stage, how many foods you have eaten (in total and in each city), which cities you have played and which food streets you have cleared. Your music and graphics settings are stored there too. Both are removed when you uninstall the game. A copy of your progress can also be kept in your iCloud or Google Play Games account (see the next section). If your phone's own backup is switched on (for example iCloud Backup or Android's backup), it can include the game's data.

Game Center and Google Play Games (optional)

Signing in is optional, and the game works without it. If your phone is already signed in to Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android), the game signs in by itself when it starts. While you are signed in, the game uses it for:

On iPhone, a copy of your progress is kept in your iCloud account for the same reason, even if you do not use Game Center.

The game reads your nickname only to show "Signed in as ..." on your phone. It reads your rank on the city leaderboards to show it in the game and, if you turn on daily rank alerts, to include it in those alerts (see below). Apple and Google process this information under their own privacy policies (Apple Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy).

Gameplay analytics

To understand how many people play and which stages are too hard, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase. It records usage information such as:

With this it records an app-instance identifier generated by Firebase, basic device information (model, operating system, app version, memory size class, and the network type during city downloads) and approximate location derived from the IP address. We only look at this information in aggregate. It is processed by Google under the Firebase privacy terms and Google's Privacy Policy.

Daily rank alerts (push notifications)

The game can send you up to three alerts a day, at about 9 am, 1 pm and 8 pm your local time. Each alert gives your rank on the leaderboard of the city you played last, for example "You're #8 of 120 in Delhi". Alerts are off until you turn them on, either with "Yes, tell me" on the card the game shows after your first stage or with the Reminders switch in Leaderboards & awards. Nothing is sent to our alert server before that. On iPhone, and on Android 13 and later, your phone then asks whether the game may send notifications.

While alerts are on, the game sends the following to our alert server over an encrypted connection:

The game sends this when you open or return to it, and when your city, your rank, your sign-in or the phone's notification permission changes. The server adds the times when it last heard from your phone, when the record was created and when the last alert was sent. We use this information only to send rank alerts. We do not receive your Game Center or Google Play Games name or player ID.

The record is stored in Google Cloud (Firebase) in India, in region asia-south1 (Mumbai). Google processes it under the Firebase privacy terms. Other players and apps cannot read it.

Alerts are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iPhone, Apple Push Notification service. These services receive the alert text and an identifier for your device so they can deliver it. Depending on your phone's notification settings, an alert can show the city and your rank on the lock screen.

Like any web request, a request to the alert server records your IP address and the request's user agent in the server's logs. These logs are kept for about 30 days (Google Cloud's standard period) and we do not use them to identify you.

The record is deleted:

Alerts stop after 30 days without opening the game.

To stop alerts, tap Leaderboards & awards on the title screen and switch Reminders off. You can also turn off notifications for Chatora Shooter in your phone's settings. Because the record holds no name or account, we cannot reliably find it if you write to us; switching alerts off deletes it straight away.

Game content downloads

When online, the game checks pravastu.com for updated game content, such as new background music and the artwork of extra cities. City artwork is images and a small text file, never program code. It is downloaded from pravastu.com only when you choose a city that is not already on your device. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and the type of device and app (the user agent) to our web host. We do not use it to identify you.

Advertising

The game shows ads using Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To deliver and measure ads, Google may collect and process information from your device, including:

This information is collected by Google, not by us, and is handled under Google's Privacy Policy. See also how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
